I made another day trip to Yala in the 3rd week of April with my daughter. We left home around 2.45 am and used the Sothern highway up to Mattala and was at the entrance by 5.40. As I did an online reservation, we were the 3rd in line .It was a good day for photography.
This is " HARAK HORA" arguably the biggest male leopard in Yala and this was our first encounter with him and he stood up to the name and stature and was quite oblivious and unperturbed towards the Jeeps around.
Indian thicknee
Green Pomander pigeon
This time around we saw more than a few Elephants engaged in various acts which were quite entertaining.
Playing around
synchronized crossing
Greeting each other
Enjoying a bath together
Marsh Sandpiper
Common greenshank
Ashy crowned sparrow lark
Little stint
Pacific golden plover
Then it started walking ad slowly crossed the road giving me ample time to click
