I visited Yala with my wife in the 2nd week of January as a day visit and spent the whole day in the jungle and had a good time with the camera.
This was a big male Leopard we saw when we were following the foot prints on the sandy road in the morning . Unfortunately no sooner we took a sharp bend we saw it seated but got up abruptly and in the rush my settings which were fixed for a good light scene did not help my cause.
This one was a treat . When we came to the scene in the late afternoon,there were a few vehicles and the people had seen 2 young cubs around 8-10 months old crossing the road and moving in to the bush on the right side which had a steep slope.Although all the vehicles went our driver the experienced JANAKA was sure that it will turn up and we stayed . 15 minutes later it appeared and was quite oblivious to our presence and really entertained us for about 10 minutes.
