I was lucky to capture these exciting movements in Rajagiriya in the last week of February 2012.

BEAUTIFUL NATURE-----

This Asian Open Bill was seen in Thalangama  wetland in February 2012 planing and strategising his moves carefully before pouncing on the unsuspecting prey and smartly gobbling down .Content after the tasy meal, it flew away . A job well done .

HEAVENLY RAINS.......

These Purple Swamphens in the Beddegana Marshes  were delighted after  much awaited heavy rains  that came down in the 2nd week of February 2012, and the enthusiasm and the happiness shown was a delight to watch.

WHALE OF A TIME IN MIRISSA----

Sri Lanka has become a global event for Whale and Dolphin watching from about three years back thanks to much work done by the re knowned naturalist GEHAN dE silva Wijeratne.I engaged in this trip in Feb 2012 and had the privilege of seeing Spinner Dolphins and two Blue whales and the experience was awesome.
