Surprisingly somewhere around end June or so a flock of around 250 Flamingos had come to BUNDALA after a lapse of 5 years or more and we had the privilege of seeing them even from a distance.
A Black necked Stork with a catch
A bar tailed Godwitt
A wood Sandpiper
A Great Thick nee
Caspian Terns
Whimbrel
An Adjutant stork in flight...
Eurasian Spoonbill
A Kentish Plover
Red Shanks
These House Swifts were nesting at the Bundala entrance hut
We came across this Bee-Hive when we stopped to have THAMBILI in Thangalle.
We saw this Leopard on the second day morning at a distance
Water was very scarce and it shows....
Imperial Green Pigeons
A Red Wattled Lapwing chick
A Green Bee-eater
A common Sandpiper having a mouthful
\
A white browed Bulbul
In harmony: very unusual but the times are hard as water is scarce
This was so unexpected
Serpent Eagle
Guiding the young...
They were having a good time when they could...
........ Specially the small one
This was in the evening and was very soothing to see.
This was on the 3rd day morning and couldn't have asked for more.
This Leopard had been waiting to cross for some time and when it did there was not enough time to click.
Keeping the life cycle going
