TRIP TO ELLA.....

I went to Bandarawela with my wife and two other families in July .Though we were based in B'wela, we did excursions to Ella and N'Eliya . The visit to Ella to see the nine Arches bridge, and the mini Adams peak was memorable and adventurers as  both were like hikes and the end product was fabulous. We also went to 98 acres Mountain resort for dinner and the experience was also great as their marketing strategy is exceptional in attracting tourists and locals winning a lot of awards.

GLOSSY IBIS NEAR JAYAWARDEANAPURA WALKWAY.....

I was doing my regular walk on a  Sunday in March  2018  and suddenly came across a pair of Pied Cuckoos . As this was a rare sight in Colombo, I went and fetched my camera from the vehicle  and managed get some decent pictures along the way including a couple of migrant birds.
Subsequently on a Sunday in April also I was doing my walk and confronted a lone Glossy Ibis one of the scarce migrants  and a very rare sight in Colombo.
