AMMA PUSE AND CHUTI PUSE --- THE CAT STORY.....

On the 10th of February this year, we had 2  strangers in our house . Mother cat and the only male kitten who had come from no where and the fact is we never entertained stray cats in to our premises for the last 20 years or more and we still cant fathom the fact that how on earth they chose our place.

The pictures taken in various stages are shown below and for the last 9 months , the two have entertained all of us to the fullest with lots of love and continue to do so thus becoming an integral part of the family.

After trying to chase the adult cat a few times which failed, we found out that the kitten who was probably 2 weeks old by then was hidden underneath a cabinet and inside a shoe rack in the garage and let them  be

  After a couple of weeks the kitten  gradually started exploring its surroundings 

a few weeks after the incident ,the kitten ( we started calling Chuti puse) , was coming out though hissed at us each time we went close , The mum ( Amma puse) of course was at ease and was very comfortable in our presence.

During this time  a couple of male cats were visiting and making a big racket and it dawned on us that the heat cycle has begun again and we took a decision to sterilize the mother cat .

MY daughter was very much concerned all the time and used to call the vet for the slightest matter whether it was a cough or loss of appetite etc,. and also got them vaccinated for rabies , FVRCP (Tri cat) deceases as well

When the nights are cold , we cover them with linen and they seem to like that. 

My daughter also went to the extent of getting a special aluminium structure to cover the veranda and keep them inside mainly during rainy days.

The two are extremely close with each other and most of the time stay like this and the way they bond by playing and licking each other is quite interesting to see and heart warming .

While Amma puse is very disciplined and reserved, the Chuti puse is quite the opposite being mischievous and playful  all the time and talks to us in its language all the time 

We have given them some sort of an identity by way of a collar

For now they have made our home theirs and do not forget to be at the doorstep  for meals crying out loud ( Chuti puse of course) in the morning and in the night at the same time.

The cats in general are vey clean animals and are very particular about how they extricate and urinate and make sure that they cover them so that a minimum amount of the ordure comes out. Ours also carry this task quite well though at the very early stages they were not consistent and we had to teach them a couple of times 

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT THEY ARE NOT ALLOWD INSIDE THE HOUSE THOUGH ON AND OFF THEY SNEAK IN TO EXPLORE AND ARE CHASED OUT BY MY WIFE EVERY TIME    😅….
