PHOTOS FROM MY GARDEN DURING THE RECENT LOCKDOWN...

As we were and still confined to our homes from 29th October , I spend a considerable time roaming in the small garden carrying the camera . Fortunately for me ,there is a HEEN DAN tree (Syzgium caryophyllatum) in my neighbor's premises just opposite and these days many bird species come to feed etc. thus giving me an opportunity to capture some good shots.

Oriental white eye

This is one of the 2 species found in Sri Lanka. The other being Sri Lanka white eye which is endemic.

This is the Asian brown flycatcher a regular migrant bird flying all the way from Siberia /Himalayan territory. The interesting part is that this single bird has been spotted by me every year for more than 8 years in a row between late October and early April.
