VISIT TO YALA IN JULY 2014

In the 4th week of July 2014 I got the chance to go to Yala again with my family and two other families closely related. Although we did not see any Leopards and the park was bone dry (Never seen this dry during this time of the year before ) , we managed to see more than a couple of Bears and captured some nice pictures.

On our way to Cinnamon Wild where we stayed.
A common non poisonous snake inside the hotel premises
Trying to go in .for an afternoon game drive.....
A Sambur crossing...

Woolly Necked Stork

An Elephant going for a drink close to a flock of Pelicans

This one crossed behind us and looked agitated due to our presence
Eurasian Spoon bills

Painted Stork
First time I saw a group of Saambur in the water...
Yellow Wattled Lapwing
Had a good look at this Bear....Best part was it was around 5pm, the sun was up  and the Bear was unruffled and took it's time before going into the jungle.

These two came out of the water and gave us a stare.......
Our Jeep driver. He was very efficient ..
We went in again in the morning the 2nd day.
